World’s oldest panda in captivity celebrates her 37th birthday

The world's oldest panda in captivity has celebrated her 37th birthday. Xin Xing marked the milestone with a birthday feast at her home in a southwest China zoo. She was brought to the Chongquing zoo in 1983 and has given birth to 10 baby pandas since. Xin Xing is the equivalent of 110 human years old, and has been described as the grandmother of all captive pandas.
