Thunderstorm Brings Rain and Lightning to Fairfield, Connecticut

Lightning, thunder, and heavy rainfall descended on Fairfield, Connecticut, on August 19, as severe thunderstorms came through the area, according to the National Weather Service. Local news reports said at least 2,000 people were without power due to Monday’s storms. Fairfield Police said the storms were causing “trees and wires to fall.” Fairfield HamletHub shared this footage on Instagram and reported seeing flash flooding “submersing cars up to their hubcaps” in the area.
