Roads Submerged in Pelham, Alabama, as Heavy Rain Prompts Flash Flooding

The National Weather Service in Alabama issued a flash flood warning for the southern Birmingham metro area on August 23 as severe flooding was reported in parts of the city. Social media users shared footage of flooded roads and submerged vehicles in Pelham, an area south of Birmingham, where the weather service said over 4 inches of rain had fallen in a short period of time on Friday.
