‘Build the Wall’: Pro-Trump Float Featured in Boston Straight Pride Parade

A “Straight Pride Parade” held in Boston, Massachusetts, on August 31 featured a float decked out in Trump 2020 re-election flags and signage that said “build the wall.” The Boston Globe reported that a “few hundred marchers” participating in the parade were outnumbered by “thousands” of protesters The parade was organized by the Super Happy Fun America group and aimed to “celebrate the diverse history, culture, and contributions of the straight community,” according to its website. Attendees included Milo Yiannopoulos, an openly gay conservative political commentator. He was named grand marshal of the event. Citing officials, local media said multiple arrests were made at the event. Police Detain Person at Moscow Memorial for Navalny

Police in Moscow were seen detaining at least one person at the “Wall of Grief,” a monument to victims of political persecution, where a vigil to Alexei Navalny was set up on Saturday, February 17. Video filmed by Russian media outlet SOTA shows police detaining one person near the monument and carrying them away. Navalny was reported dead by Russian Russian authorities on Friday, February 16. Authorities said the 47-year-old dissident fell ill and died in the prison colony where he was detained. According to Meduza, more than 150 people have been arrested at protests and gatherings in memory of Navalny across Russia. International media reported several journalists were arrested in Moscow and St Petersburg after Navalny’s death was announced.
