A 45-year-old British cyclist has claimed the motor-paced speed world record after hitting 280 kilometres an hour on a custom-built bike. Architect Neil Campbell was released from the back of a Porsche and hurtled down a pathway, giving him the record-breaking title. The previous record was set by a Dutch rider in 1995.
