Plibersek says govt is restricting regional access to university

August 1, 2019. Shadow minister for Eduction, Tanya Plibersek speaks to the media in Canberra saying the government is restricting access to university. Ms Plibersek claims that young people who live outside the capital cities in regional or rural areas are less likely to attend university. "It's not fair that a young person on the North Shore of Sydney is three times more likely to get a university education than someone on the central coast of NSW," MS Plibersek says. "We need to make sure that Australians have the opportunity for a post school education to prepare them for the workforce of the future".(AAP Video/Marc Tewksbury)
