I’ll have a ‘punch up’ with Boris: Farage

Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage says Conservative leader frontrunner Boris Johnson needs to ‘be bold’ and call a general election if Britain is to exit the European Union on time. The UK has until the 31st of October to pass the withdrawal agreement, or risk crashing out of the EU without a deal. Senior leaders, including former prime minister Theresa May, have warned that Britain risks a severe economic downturn if it leaves the single market without a framework or a deal in place. Mr Farage says only a ‘new parliament’ can deliver Brexit on time but says he’s sceptical that Mr Johnson ‘has the guts’ to deliver Brexit. Mr Johnson, who is vying to become the next British prime minister, has not commented on whether he will call an imminent general election but has ruled out forming a deal with the Brexit Party. Mr Farage says the Conservative Party ‘cannot win’ without the support of the Brexit party and says if Mr Johnson wants to have a political fight, he’s ready ‘for a punch up.’ Image: News Corp Australia
