Chinese Firefighters Rescue Five-Year-Old Dangling From Building

A five-year-old girl was rescued by firefighters on July 19 after she fell through the guard rail of a residential building and was left dangling by her head in Quannan County, China. The girl became stuck when she was left home alone after her mother went out to buy food, AP reported. This video shows Jianxi province firefighters carrying out the dramatic rescue. A post to Weibo from the Jianxi Fire Department said the girl was hanging from the fifth floor of the building. They said a group of firemen were able to rescue the girl by descending from the top of the building using cables, while others broke into the locked apartment. They also warned parents to be careful with their children over the summer holidays. Credit: Jiangxi Fire via Storyful
