Canadian police investigating tourist deaths, search for ‘serial killer’

Canadian police investigating the murders of a 23-year-old Sydney man and his American girlfriend say they are now searching for a killer who is possibly responsible for five murders. As well as the remains of Lucas Fowler and China Deece, police have found the body of another man on a remote northern highway. They have also uncovered a burned out van belonging to two missing teenagers. Officers have confirmed Lucas and China died of gunshot wounds and say they are searching for a 'person of interest'. Lucas's father, serving Sydney police officer Chief Inspector Stephen Fowler, has gone to Canada to assist in the investigation. Chief Inspector Fowler says he spoke with Lucas and China hours before they set off on their adventure. He says his family has been left devastated by their deaths. Image: News Corp Australia
