Released Footage Shows Pursuit After Fiat Breached Police Barrier in Bolton

Newly released dashcam footage shows a police pursuit on St Peter’s Way in Bolton, United Kingdom on August 13, 2018, after a driver breached a police closure on the road. Video posted by Greater Manchester Police shows a Fiat Punto speeding past officers on the motorway. A high speed pursuit ensued and ends with contact between the suspect vehicle and police, video shows. According to police, the driver, Mardoche Koko, was sentenced in relation to the incident. Police Detain Person at Moscow Memorial for Navalny

Police in Moscow were seen detaining at least one person at the “Wall of Grief,” a monument to victims of political persecution, where a vigil to Alexei Navalny was set up on Saturday, February 17. Video filmed by Russian media outlet SOTA shows police detaining one person near the monument and carrying them away. Navalny was reported dead by Russian Russian authorities on Friday, February 16. Authorities said the 47-year-old dissident fell ill and died in the prison colony where he was detained. According to Meduza, more than 150 people have been arrested at protests and gatherings in memory of Navalny across Russia. International media reported several journalists were arrested in Moscow and St Petersburg after Navalny’s death was announced.
