A $20 billion proposal to build the southern hemisphere's largest solar farm in the Northern Territory could create up to 1300 for workers across the top end. The company hoping to deliver the project would consider manufacturing solar technology in Darwin and would then base the farm near Tennant Creek. About 300 ongoing jobs would be available on site. It's understood traditional owners in Central Australia have begun early negotiations with the federal government to deal with land issues.
