Fog delays flights in and out of Sydney

Travellers flying into and out of Sydney Airport are facing delays, after a thick fog covered the city. At least 10 flights have been cancelled, and travellers at Sydney's T1 and T2 terminals have been held up by between 30 and 45 minutes. Flights from Melbourne, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Adelaide and Canberra are among those impacted. It is clearing and is expected to disappear by mid-morning. Image: News Corp Australia

Police Detain Person at Moscow Memorial for Navalny

Police in Moscow were seen detaining at least one person at the “Wall of Grief,” a monument to victims of political persecution, where a vigil to Alexei Navalny was set up on Saturday, February 17. Video filmed by Russian media outlet SOTA shows police detaining one person near the monument and carrying them away. Navalny was reported dead by Russian Russian authorities on Friday, February 16. Authorities said the 47-year-old dissident fell ill and died in the prison colony where he was detained. According to Meduza, more than 150 people have been arrested at protests and gatherings in memory of Navalny across Russia. International media reported several journalists were arrested in Moscow and St Petersburg after Navalny’s death was announced.
