Chris Dawson pleads not guilty to murdering his wife, Lynette

Chris Dawson has formally pleaded not guilty to the murder of his wife Lynette, who went missing from her family home on Sydney’s northern beaches 37 years ago. Mr Dawson, a former high school teacher, is accused of killing Lynette between 9pm on January 8, 1982 and 7am on January 9, 1982. His lawyer announced his intention to plead not guilty 2018, saying Mr Dawson ‘strenuously asserts his innocence’. Mr Dawson claims Lynette left their Bayview home of her own accord. Her body has never been found.
