NZ budget leaked to National Party

The New Zealand government will on Thursday hand down a budget guided by well-being priorities. New Zealand's National Party has released what it claims to be key details of the government's budget, with the government claiming some of the information is incorrect. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says it is important to look beyond traditional economic measures to gauge a society's success and to improve living standards, explaining that GDP growth isn’t translating into higher living standards for many citizens. The leaked information provides a breakdown of some of the funding the government has allocated in the upcoming budget, revealing an increase in spending on defence, forestry and international aid.
