At least one dead, 100 injured after tornadoes tear across the US

At least one person is dead and 100 more injured after a series of tornadoes ripped across the US, razing structures and leaving scars in their wake. Wind gusts of more than 225 kilometres per hour were recorded. Residents and emergency teams are now assessing the damage and attempting to clean up after the destruction.
