Rain and flooding persisted in the town of Bracebridge, Ontario, on April 26, three days after officials declared a state of emergency due to flooding. “The Town is experiencing heavy rainfall that is expected to continue throughout the day causing water levels to rise. The Town is encouraging residents to take precautionary measures to ensure life safety,” an alert on the town’s website read on that date. Bracebridge also alerted a drinking water advisory, saying: “residents are advised that properties in flooded areas using well water should assume the water is not potable.” Credit: Holly’s Sweets & Eats via Storyful
