The local sharemarket has managed to close out another holiday shortened week on a flat footing. The ASX 200 edged 3 points higher to 6385 on Friday but climbed 2% over the past three sessions. Resources were behind the market’s early losses but that was countered by improvements for defensives such as healthcare, property and utilities.
