Disability groups rally over NSW government funding cuts

Disability groups rallied in Sydney’s Martin Place on Sunday over state government funding cuts. $30 million worth of funding for disability advocacy will cease for some organisations from July this year, with the rest of the sector losing support in July 2020. Coinciding with the protest, Labor has announced it will fund disability advocacy services across NSW but Physical Disability Council CEO Serena Ovens says they need long-term backing from all parties.
