New South Wales Police Search Dam Over 1982 Disappearance of Roxlyn Bowie

Police began excavating a property in Walgett, northern New South Wales, on November 26, as part of investigations into the disappearance and suspected murder of Roxlyn Bowie. This drone footage shows the search and excavation of a dam on Wee Waa Street, Walgett, on November 26 and 27. Bowie disappeared on June 5, 1982, from her Walgett home, leaving behind two young children. She had told her husband that if he went to the pub that night, she would be gone when he got back, the Daily Telegraph reported. She was not seen again. A 2014 police inquest foudn that Bowie he had died, but the cause of her death and location of her body were unknown.
