White House Counsel to resign after cooperating with Russia probe

US President Donald Trump has announced Don McGahn will be leaving his White House Counsel role following revelations he cooperated with a probe into Russian collusion. It is understood Mr McGahn cooperated 'extensively' with the investigation regarding the 2016 presidential election, sitting down for 30-hour interviews with Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team. Speculation is also growing over Attorney-General Jeff Sessions' future amid President Trump's frequent criticism of him for rescuing himself from matters concerning the Russia investigation.
