August 30, 2018. New Melbourne Archbishop Peter Comensoli answers questions at his Melbourne Press Club address from a woman who alleges her daughter was raped by a Catholic priest. Lawyer for 93-year-old woman Dr Judy Courtin asks Comensoli whether he will meet with her client Eileen Piper to discuss the allegations. Piper stands to show a photo of her daughter in a coffin after she died in 1994. Comensoli walks into the audience to meet her and agrees to read a dossier concerning the allegations. Piper's 32-year-old daughter Stephanie killed herself the year after revealing she had been raped by Pallottine priest Gerard Mulvale as a teen. Mulvale was charged with offences relating to Stephanie but they were dropped after she died. (AAP VIDEO/Andrew Leeson)
