Australian News Channel and WIN Network sign ‘historic’ content agreement

Australian News Channel and the WIN Network have signed an agreement to broadcast a dedicated 24/7 news channel called 'Sky News on WIN' through WIN’s regional free-to-air television network in 29 markets across six states and the ACT. WIN Network CEO Andrew Lancaster says the agreement will allow WIN to 'strengthen its commitment to informing regional Australians'. Australian News Channel CEO Angelos Frangopoulos called the agreement an 'historic moment', saying the partnership will allow Sky News to deliver unique content to Australians in regional areas, and will showcase the premium news offering available on the Foxtel subscription TV platform. Foxtel will continue to broadcast exclusive Sky News content including five live 24/7 Sky News and FOX SPORTS News channels, also available via its streaming service Foxtel Now and to watch via tablets and smartphones with the Foxtel app. Sky News on WIN will launch late 2018. Australian News Channel operates Sky News and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of News Corp Australia. Picture source: The Australian
